Mangalya Sudha – Mass Wedding Ceremony at Amritavarsham 72

As part of the 72nd birthday celebrations of Satguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), a mass wedding ceremony titled Mangalya Sudha was conducted at Amritapuri, reflecting Amma’s boundless compassion and commitment to social upliftment.

This year, 17 couples from economically disadvantaged backgrounds were united in the sacred bond of marriage. The ceremony was performed with all traditional rituals and blessings, providing the couples with not only a new beginning but also the dignity and joy of a complete wedding celebration.

As part of Amma’s care, the brides were presented with gold jewelry, ensuring that no financial burden fell upon the families. This compassionate initiative embodies Amma’s vision of alleviating poverty and spreading love through tangible acts of service.

The Mangalya Sudha ceremony at Amritavarsham 72 stood as a profound reminder that Amma’s birthday celebrations are never limited to rituals and festivities but are deeply rooted in service, compassion, and transformation of lives.
