As part of the 72nd Birthday Celebrations of Amma—Sadguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, the One World, One Heart Exhibition was inaugurated at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. The exhibition is open to visitors from September 25 to 27, 2025, highlights Amma’s vision for sustainability and care for Mother Earth.
The ceremony was blessed by Swami Gurupadashritananda Puri and inaugurated by Sri C.R. Mahesh, MLA (Karunagappally).
The distinguished gathering featured Dr. B. Ashok, IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Kerala; Sri Prashant Nair, IAS, Former District Collector, Author, and Film Director; Dr. P.K. Gopan, President, Kollam District Panchayat; Dr. Maneesha V. Ramesh, Provost, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, UNESCO Chair on Experiential Learning for Sustainable Innovation & Development and Rakesh Kumar R., KAS, Deputy Collector, Kollam District who all shared insightful messages on
sustainability and eco-conscious living.
The One World, One Heart Exhibition showcases a wide range of initiatives and projects undertaken by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math across the world in the fields of eco-friendliness, nature conservation, waste management and recycling, resource efficiency, and sustainable development. Students, faculty, ashram residents, devotees, and volunteers have collaborated to bring this large-scale exhibition to life, reflecting Amma’s call for a united, compassionate, and environmentally responsible world.
Speaking on the occasion, dignitaries emphasized the importance of youth participation and community engagement in achieving sustainable development goals. The event also honored students, artists, and volunteers who contributed significantly to the design and execution of the exhibition and related cleanliness drives.
