Amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Amma’s massive women’s Self-Help Groups (SHG) program, AmritaSREE, in collaboration with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, launched an ambitious series of large-scale multi-skilling training projects. These projects were designed to uplift and empower women and transgender individuals in rural communities, enhancing their livelihood resilience and boosting SHG performance in the post-pandemic era.

This project has been executed across seven states in India: Delhi, Haryana, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. The certificates distributed at this event were not merely tokens of accomplishment; they symbolized the transformative power of education and embodied Amma’s message of love, compassion, and selfless service.
